Blue Ribbon Streams

Wade Fishing

Two Rivers Emporium has the best wade fishing waters available in the area. There are a plethora of excellent trout streams around Pinedale that originate in the Wind River Mountains to the east and the Wyoming Range to the west. This collection of free-stone waterways includes the noted Green and New Fork rivers as well as many less known, but equally productive trout water. Most of these waterways hold a wide variety of wild trout. When you hook these wild trout and fight them in their natural environment you will know what fishing Wyoming's small streams is all about. It is something that can not be described, it has to be experienced. SEE TRIPS

Faler Creek

This spring creek like stream, which meanders through a private ranch on the outskirts of Pinedale, continues to produces some phenomenal trout fishing. When the water conditions are ideal, usually mid - July through August, large trout can be seen holding in a variety of water including runs, deep holes, cut banks and weed troughs. The large Rainbow and wily Brown trout will take surface and subsurface flies with equal zeal if they are presented well. The hatches are great and sight casting for big trout is the ultimate challenge. PMD's, gray drakes and tricos are the main mayfly hatches; hoppers and beetles are great in the afternoons. The stream demands the best of fly fishing skills and will reward those who are patient and technically proficient. SEE TRIPS
